The "Trumpeter's House" Inscription (Episode 10) - City of David: Bringing the Bible to Life22/1/2021
The southwestern capstone of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, was cast off in the year 70CE, during the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple, and was discovered at the footsteps of the Western Wall in the year 1968. The stone bears a 2,000 year-old Hebrew inscription, with the Hebrew words “Trumpeter's House,” marking the place from where the priests announced the beginning and end of the Sabbath with a blast of the trumpet, and affirms the millennia old connection of the Jewish people with Jerusalem. City of David: Bringing the Bible to Life is a series of short videos highlighting archeological discoveries relating to the City of David - the place where Jerusalem began - affirming Jerusalem's Biblical heritage.
